I came in upon Abu Umama while he was picking lice off himself in the mosque and burying the lice in the pebbles. I said to him, "Abu Umama, a man told me on your authority that you said, 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever performs ablution thoroughly, washing his hands and face, wiping over his head and his ears, then rises to perform the obligatory prayer, Allah forgives him on that day every wrong his feet walked toward, every wrong his hands took hold of, every wrong his ears listened to, every wrong his eyes looked at, and every evil his soul considered."'"He replied, "By Allah, I have heard it from the Prophet of Allah ﷺ more times than I can count."
