I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a day when he was mounted on Jadaa, his feet placed in the stirrups, stretching upward so the people could hear him. He called out at the top of his voice, "Can you all hear me?"A man from among the various groups of people said, "Messenger of Allah, what do you instruct us to do?"He said, "Worship your Lord, perform your five prayers, fast your month, and obey those in authority over you, and you will enter the Paradise of your Lord."I said, "Abu Umama, how old were you on that day?"He replied, "On that day I was thirty years old, pressing against the camel and pushing it aside to make way for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."
حدثنا عبد الرحمن عن معاوية بن صالح عن سليم بن عامر الكلاعي قال سمعت
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ وهو يومئذ على الجدعاء واضع رجليه في الغرز يتطاول يسمع الناس فقال بأعلى صوته ألا تسمعون فقال رجل من طوائف الناس يا رسول الله ماذا تعهد إلينا قال اعبدوا ربكم وصلوا خمسكم وصوموا شهركم وأطيعوا ذا أمركم تدخلوا جنة ربكم فقلت يا أبا أمامة مثل من أنت يومئذ قال أنا يومئذ ابن ثلاثين سنة أزاحم البعير أزحزحه لرسول الله ﷺ
