Abdullah bin Abbas reported,
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was sitting in the mosque facing the Hijr. He looked up at the sky and laughed, then said, "May Allah curse the Jews. Fats were forbidden to them, yet they sold them and consumed their price. Indeed, when Allah 
forbids a people from eating something, He forbids them its price as well."

ابن عباس قال
كان رسول الله ﷺ قاعدا في المسجد مستقبلا الحجر قال فنظر إلى السماء فضحك ثم قال لعن الله اليهود حرمت عليهم الشحوم فباعوها وأكلوا أثمانها وإن الله عز وجل إذا حرم على قوم أكل شيء حرم عليهم ثمنه
Its isnad is sahih. Al-Hadhdha is Khalid. Barakah Abu Walid is Barakah bin Uryan Mujashi, as his lineage will come later at 2678. Ibn Hibban erred in naming him Barakah bin Walid. He is trustworthy, Abu Zura rated him trustworthy, and Bukhari gave him a biographical entry in al-Kabir 1/2/147 under the name Barakah Abu Walid Mujashi.In H, it reads, "from Barakah, from Abu Walid," which is an error we have corrected from K. The hadith is in al-Muntaqa 2778, where it is also attributed to Abu Dawud. Bukhari also related it in al-Kabir, in abbreviated form, in the biographical entry on Barakah.
