He saw heads mounted on the steps of the mosque of Damascus, and Abu Umama said three times, "Dogs of the Fire, dogs of the Fire. The worst of those slain beneath the sky, and the best of those slain are those whom they killed."Then he recited "On the Day when some faces will turn white and some faces will turn black" [Aal Imran 3:106–107] and the verse that follows.I said to Abu Umama, "Did you hear this from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"He replied, "If I had heard it only twice, or three, four, five, six, or seven times, I would not be relating it to you."

أنه رأى رءوسا منصوبة على درج مسجد دمشق فقال أبو أمامة كلاب النار كلاب النار ثلاثا شر قتلى تحت أديم السماء خير قتلى من قتلوه ثم قرأ {يوم تبيض وجوه وتسود وجوه} الآيتين قلت لأبي أمامة أسمعته من رسول الله ﷺ قال لو لم أسمعه إلا مرتين أو ثلاثا أو أربعا أو خمسا أو ستا أو سبعا ما حدثتكم
