He informed him that he was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on one of his journeys, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent out a messenger to announce that no necklace of bowstring nor any other necklace should be left on a camel's neck without being cut off.Ismail said, "I think he also said, 'while the people were observing their fast.'"
حدثنا روح وإسماعيل بن عمر عن مالك عن عبد الله بن أبي بكر عن عباد بن تميم أن
أخبره أنه كان مع رسول الله ﷺ في بعض أسفاره فأرسل رسول الله ﷺ رسولا لا يبقين في رقبة بعير قلادة من وتر ولا قلادة إلا قطعت قال إسماعيل قال وأحسبه قال والناس في صيامهم
Its isnad is sahih, its narrators are trustworthy and well known. Abdullah bin Abu Bakr is the son of Muhammad bin Amr bin Hazm. Bukhari related the hadith 6/141 number 3005 in the Book of Jihad, Muslim 3/1672 number 2115 in the Book of Clothing, Abu Dawud 3/74 number 2553 in the Book of Jihad, and Malik 2/974.
