Abdullah bin Masud reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever seizes the property of a Muslim man unjustly will meet Allah while He is angry with him."Then Ashath bin Qays came and asked, "What is Abu Abdul-Rahman narrating to you?"We told him, and he said, "This hadith concerns me. I had a dispute with a cousin of mine before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ over a well of mine that was in his possession, but he denied my claim."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Produce your evidence that it is your well, otherwise he must take an oath."I said, "Messenger of Allah, his oath means nothing to me. If you let him swear, my well is gone, for my opponent is a wicked man."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever seizes the property of a Muslim man unjustly will meet Allah while He is angry with him."Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited, "Indeed, those who exchange the covenant of Allah..." [Al Imran 3:77] the rest of the verse.

حدثنا يحيى بن آدم حدثنا أبو بكر بن عياش عن عاصم بن أبي النجود عن شقيق بن سلمة

عن عبد الله بن مسعود ثلاثة أحاديث قال

قال رسول الله ﷺ من اقتطع مال امرئ مسلم بغير حق لقي الله عز وجل وهو عليه غضبان قال فجاء الأشعث بن قيس فقال ما يحدثكم أبو عبد الرحمن قال فحدثناه قال في كان هذا الحديث خاصمت ابن عم لي إلى رسول الله ﷺ في بئر كانت لي في يده فجحدني فقال رسول الله ﷺ بينتك أنها بئرك وإلا فيمينه قال قلت يا رسول الله ما لي بيمينه وإن تجعلها بيمينه تذهب بئري إن خصمي امرؤ فاجر قال فقال رسول الله ﷺ من اقتطع مال امرئ مسلم بغير حق لقي الله عز وجل وهو عليه غضبان قال وقرأ رسول الله ﷺ {إن الذين يشترون بعهد الله} الآية
