Abu Waail reported,

Abdullah reported that the Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever swears a false oath in order to seize the property of another man," or he said, "of his brother, will meet Allah while He is angry with him." And Allah revealed confirmation of this in the Quran, "Indeed, those who exchange the covenant of Allah and their oaths for a small price will have no share in the Hereafter... and for them is a painful punishment" [Aal Imran 3:77].He said, Ashath then met me and asked, "What did Abdullah narrate to you today?"I told him such and such.He said, "It was about me that this verse was revealed."

عن عبد الله عن النبي ﷺ أنه قال من حلف على يمين كاذبا ليقتطع بها مال رجل أو قال أخيه لقي الله عز وجل وهو عليه غضبان وأنزل تصديق ذلك في القرآن {إن الذين يشترون بعهد الله وأيمانهم ثمنا قليلا أولئك لا خلاق لهم في الآخرة إلى عذاب أليم} قال فلقيني الأشعث فقال ما حدثكم عبد الله اليوم قال قلت له كذا وكذا قال في أنزلت
