Someone said to Usama, "Why don't you speak to this man?"Usama replied, "I have already spoken to him. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'A man will be brought and cast into the Fire, where he will be ground around as a donkey grinds at its mill. The people of the Fire will gather around him and ask, "So-and-so, didn't you used to command good and forbid evil?" He will reply, "I used to command good but not do it, and I used to forbid evil yet do it myself."'"Shuba said, "Mansur also narrated to me from Abu Waail from Usama something similar, except that he added in it, 'and the contents of his belly will spill out.'"
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة عن سليمان قال سمعت
قيل لأسامة ألا تكلم هذا قال قد كلمته سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول يجاء برجل فيطرح في النار فيطحن فيها كطحن الحمار برحاه فيطيف به أهل النار فيقولون يا فلان ألست كنت تأمر بالمعروف وتنهى عن المنكر فيقول إني كنت آمر بالمعروف ولا أفعله وأنهى عن المنكر وأفعله قال شعبة وحدثني منصور عن أبي وائل عن أسامة بنحو منه إلا أنه زاد فيه فتندلق أقتاب بطنه
