I set out for Hajj, and when I arrived I entered the House. When I was between the two pillars, I went forward until I pressed against the wall. Then Ibn Umar came and prayed beside me, performing four units of prayer. When he had finished, I asked him, "Where did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray inside the House?"He replied, "Usama bin Zayd told me that he prayed right here."I asked, "How many units did he pray?"He said, "I find myself blaming myself for having spent a lifetime with him without ever asking him how many units he prayed."The following year I performed Hajj again, and I came and stood in that very spot. Then Ibn Zubayr came and stood beside me, and he kept crowding me until he pushed me out of the place, after which he prayed four units there.

خرجت حاجا فجئت حتى دخلت البيت فلما كنت بين الساريتين مضيت حتى لزقت بالحائط فجاء ابن عمر فصلى إلى جنبي فصلى أربعا فلما صلى قلت له أين صلى رسول الله ﷺ من البيت قال أخبرني أسامة بن زيد أنه صلى هاهنا فقلت كم صلى قال هذا أجدني ألوم نفسي أني مكثت معه عمرا لم أسأله كم صلى ثم حججت من العام المقبل فجئت حتى قمت في مقامه فجاء ابن الزبير حتى قام إلى جنبي ولم يزل يزاحمني حتى أخرجني منه ثم صلى فيه أربعا
