He said to him that a man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "I practice withdrawal with my wife."The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Why?"The man replied, "Out of concern for her child," or "for her children."The Prophet ﷺ said, "If that is the reason, then there is no harm in it. That practice has not harmed the Persians or the Romans."

فقال له إن رجلا جاء إلى النبي ﷺ فقال إني أعزل عن امرأتي قال لم قال شفقا على ولدها أو على أولادها فقال إن كان كذلك فلا ما ضار ذلك فارس ولا الروم
