The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed the Eid prayer as two units, reciting nothing in them except the Opening of the Book, adding nothing more to it.

صلى رسول الله ﷺ العيد ركعتين لا يقرأ فيهما إلا بأم الكتاب لم يزد عليها شيئا
