Its isnad is sahih. Sayyar bin Marur Tamimi Mazini was mentioned by Ibn Hibban in al-Thiqat, while Ibn Madini said he is majhul (unknown). His father's name, Marur, is spelled with the plain ain, though Dhahabi in al-Mushtabih 44, 492 recorded it with the dotted ghayn, while relating an opinion that it is with the plain ain. Hafiz said in Lisan al-Mizan 3/130–131, "Ibn Main alone held that his father's ain was dotted, and I do not know where he got that from."Salam Abu Ahwas is Salam bin Salim Hanafi, the hafiz. The hadith appears in Musnad Tayalisi, number 70, in abridged form.Ibn Hazm relates in al-Muhalla 4/84, with his isnad, from Ahmad bin Hanbal, "Abdul-Rahman bin Mahdi narrated to us, Sufyan Thawri narrated to us, from Amash, from Musayab bin Rafi, from Zayd bin Wahb, from Umar bin Khattab," who said, "When the heat is intense, let one of you prostrate on his garment, and when the crowding is intense, let him prostrate on the back of a man."This isnad is sahih. I did not find it in the Musnad, so I do not know whether it is located elsewhere in it, or whether it belongs to another one of the Imam's books.
