Zayd bin Thabit reported,

We were commanded to glorify Allah at the end of every prayer thirty-three times, to praise Him thirty-three times, and to magnify Him thirty-four times.A man saw in a dream someone saying to him, "You have been commanded to say thirty-three glorifications, thirty-three praises, and thirty-four magnifications. Why not include the declaration of Allah's oneness with them and make each of them twenty-five?"I mentioned this to the Prophet ﷺ, and he said, "You have seen it, so do it," or something to that effect.

حدثنا روح حدثنا هشام عن محمد عن كثير بن أفلح

عن زيد بن ثابت قال

أمرنا أن نسبح في دبر كل صلاة ثلاثا وثلاثين تسبيحة ونحمد ثلاثا وثلاثين تحميدة ونكبر أربعا وثلاثين تكبيرة قال فرأى رجل في المنام فقال أمرتم بثلاث وثلاثين تسبيحة وثلاث وثلاثين تحميدة وأربع وثلاثين تكبيرة فلو جعلتم فيها التهليل فجعلتموها خمسا وعشرين فذكرت ذلك للنبي ﷺ قال قد رأيتم فافعلوا أو نحو ذلك
