Abu Saeed Khudri reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when this verse was revealed, "When the help of Allah and the conquest comes" [Nasr 110:1], recited it through to its end, then said, "The people are one group, and I and my companions are another group." He also said, "There is no migration after the conquest, but only striving and intention."Marwan said to him, "You have lied."Rafi bin Khadij and Zayd bin Thabit were present, sitting with Marwan on his couch.Abu Saeed Khudri said, "If these two wished, they could tell you the truth of it."Marwan raised his whip to strike him. When the two saw this, they said, "He has spoken the truth."
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة عن عمرو بن مرة عن أبي البختري الطائي
عن رسول الله ﷺ أنه قال لما نزلت هذه الآية {إذا جاء نصر الله والفتح} قال قرأها رسول الله ﷺ حتى ختمها وقال الناس حيز وأنا وأصحابي حيز وقال لا هجرة بعد الفتح ولكن جهاد ونية فقال له مروان كذبت وعنده رافع بن خديج وزيد بن ثابت وهما قاعدان معه على السرير فقال أبو سعيد الخدري لو شاء هذان لحدثاك فرفع عليه مروان الدرة ليضربه فلما رأيا ذلك قالا صدق
