A wolf sank its fangs into a sheep, so they slaughtered it with a sharp stone, and the Prophet ﷺ permitted them to eat from it.
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة قال سمعت حاضر بن المهاجر الباهلي قال سمعت سليمان بن يسار يحدث
أن ذئبا نيب في شاة فذبحوها بمروة فرخص النبي ﷺ في أكلها
Its isnad is hasan, because of Hadir bin Muhajir Bahili, Abu Isa. Ibn Hibban deemed him reliable, while Abu Hatim considered him unknown, and Nasai narrated from him. Likewise, Shubah narrated from him, and he is an imam, which is why Ibn Hajar said about him in Taqrib, "Acceptable." That is indeed the case, and so I have graded his hadith hasan.The hadith is found in Nasai, 7/255, number 4400, in the chapter on sacrifices, on the permissibility of slaughtering with Marwa, and in Ibn Majah, 2/1060, number 3176, in the chapter on slaughtered animals, on what may be used for slaughtering. Both narrate it through the route of Shubah from him, with its wording.
