I performed tamattu, and some people forbade me from doing so, so I went to Ibn Abbas and asked him about it. He instructed me to proceed with it.He said, "Then I set off toward the House and fell asleep, and someone came to me in my dream and said, 'An accepted umrah and an approved hajj.'"He continued, "So I went to Ibn Abbas and told him what I had seen, and he said, 'Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest. This is the Sunnah of Abu Qasim ﷺ.'"Regarding the sacrificial offering, he said it could be a camel, a cow, a sheep, or a share in a sacrificed animal.Abdullah said, Shuba did not relate any musnad hadith from Abu Jamra except one, and Abu Jamra is more reliable than Abu Hamza.

تمتعت فنهاني ناس عن ذلك فأتيت ابن عباس فسألته عن ذلك فأمرني بها قال ثم انطلقت إلى البيت فنمت فأتاني آت في منامي فقال عمرة متقبلة وحج مبرور قال فأتيت ابن عباس فأخبرته بالذي رأيت فقال الله أكبر الله أكبر سنة أبي القاسم ﷺ وقال في الهدي جزور أو بقرة أو شاة أو شرك في دم قال عبد الله ما أسند شعبة عن أبي جمرة إلا واحدا وأبو جمرة أوثق من أبي حمزة
