Abu Dharr reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ began reciting this verse to me, "And whoever fears Allah, He will make a way out for him" [Talaq 65:2], until he finished the verse. Then he said, "Abu Dharr, if all people would hold fast to it, it would suffice them."He kept reciting it and repeating it to me until I grew drowsy. Then he said, "Abu Dharr, what will you do if you are driven out of Madinah?"I said, "I will go toward ease and comfort. I will set out until I become one of the doves of Makkah."He asked, "What will you do if you are driven out of Makkah?"I said, "Toward ease and comfort, to Syria and the Holy Land."He asked, "And what will you do if you are driven out of Syria?"I said, "Then, by the One who sent you with the truth, I will put my sword on my shoulder."He said, "Shall I tell you something better than that?"I said, "Something better than that?"He said, "You listen and obey, even if the one in charge is an Abyssinian slave."

حدثنا يزيد حدثنا كهمس بن الحسن حدثنا أبو السليل

عن أبي ذر قال

جعل رسول الله ﷺ يتلو علي هذه الآية {ومن يتق الله يجعل له مخرجا} حتى فرغ من الآية ثم قال يا أبا ذر لو أن الناس كلهم أخذوا بها لكفتهم قال فجعل يتلو بها ويرددها علي حتى نعست ثم قال يا أبا ذر كيف تصنع إن أخرجت من المدينة قال قلت إلى السعة والدعة أنطلق حتى أكون حمامة من حمام مكة قال كيف تصنع إن أخرجت من مكة قال قلت إلى السعة والدعة إلى الشام والأرض المقدسة قال وكيف تصنع إن أخرجت من الشام قال قلت إذن والذي بعثك بالحق أضع سيفي على عاتقي قال أو خير من ذلك قال قلت أو خير من ذلك قال تسمع وتطيع وإن كان عبدا حبشيا
