I spoke privately with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ one night until morning. I said, "Messenger of Allah, appoint me to a position of authority."He replied, "It is a trust, and it will be a source of disgrace and regret on the Day of Resurrection, except for the one who takes it by its right and fulfills what is due from him in it."
