Abu Dharr reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took my pledge on five matters, bound me firmly to seven, and called Allah as witness over me on nine, that I would never fear, in the cause of Allah, the blame of any critic.Abu Muthanna said that Abu Dharr said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ called me and asked, 'Will you give me a pledge, and Paradise will be yours?'I replied, 'Yes,' and I extended my hand.Then the Messenger of Allah, while setting the condition upon me, said, 'That you will not ask people for anything.'I said, 'Yes.'He said, 'Not even your whip if it falls from you, until you dismount and pick it up yourself.'"

بايعني رسول الله ﷺ خمسا وأوثقني سبعا وأشهد الله علي تسعا أن لا أخاف في الله لومة لائم قال أبو المثنى قال أبو ذر فدعاني رسول الله ﷺ فقال هل لك إلى بيعة ولك الجنة قلت نعم وبسطت يدي فقال رسول الله وهو يشترط علي أن لا تسأل الناس شيئا قلت نعم قال ولا سوطك إن يسقط منك حتى تنزل إليه فتأخذه
