Zayd bin Dhubyan reported,

Traced back to Abu Dharr from the Prophet ﷺ, who said, "There are three whom Allah loves and three whom Allah detests. As for the three whom Allah عز وجل loves, they are a man who came to a people and asked them by Allah, not by any kinship between him and them, but they refused him. Then one man stayed behind after they had left and gave to him secretly, so that none knew of his gift except Allah and the one who received it.And a people who travelled through the night until, when sleep had become more beloved to them than anything that could match it, they dismounted and laid down their heads, but one of them stood up devoting himself to Me and reciting My verses. And a man who was in a military expedition and met the enemy. His companions were routed, but he turned his chest forward until he was killed or Allah granted him victory. As for the three whom Allah detests, they are the elderly fornicator, the arrogant pauper, and the oppressive rich man."
