I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was sitting in the shade of the Kaabah. He said, "By the Lord of the Kaabah, they are the losers. By the Lord of the Kaabah, they are the losers."Distress came over me, and I began to breathe heavily. I said to myself, "Some new evil has occurred."Then I asked, "Who are they, may my father and mother be ransom for you?"He replied, "Those who possess much wealth, except for the one who gives like this, and like this, and like this among the servants of Allah, and how few they are. There is no man who dies leaving sheep, camels, or cattle on which he did not pay zakat, except that they will come on the Day of Resurrection larger and fatter than they ever were, trampling him with their hooves and goring him with their horns, until judgment is passed among the people. Then the first of them returns over the last."Ibn Numayr said, "Whenever the last of them finishes, the first returns over him."
