Abu Dharr was watering his livestock at a trough of his when some people came along. He said, "Which of you will bring his animals to drink at Abu Dharr's trough and earn the reward of pulling out a few hairs from his head?"A man said, "I will."The man came and brought his animals to the trough, and in doing so he broke it. Abu Dharr had been standing, so he sat down, then he lay down on his side.He was asked, "Abu Dharr, why did you sit down, then lie down?"He replied, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to us, 'When one of you becomes angry while standing, let him sit down. If the anger leaves him, well and good, otherwise let him lie down on his side.'"
