Abu Dharr said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Successful is the one who has devoted his heart sincerely to faith, made his heart sound, his tongue truthful, his soul tranquil, and his character upright. He has made his ear attentive and his eye observant. The ear is a funnel, and the eye is a vessel for what the heart absorbs. Successful is the one who has made his heart receptive."
حدثنا إبراهيم بن أبي العباس حدثنا بقية قال وأخبرني بحير بن سعد
قال أبو ذر إن رسول الله ﷺ قال قد أفلح من أخلص قلبه للإيمان وجعل قلبه سليما ولسانه صادقا ونفسه مطمئنة وخليقته مستقيمة وجعل أذنه مستمعة وعينه ناظرة فأما الأذن فقمع والعين بمقرة لما يوعى القلب وقد أفلح من جعل قلبه واعيا
