Abu Dharr reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to us and asked, "Do you know which deeds are most beloved to Allah ?"One person said, "Prayer and almsgiving."Another said, "Jihad."He said, "The most beloved of deeds to Allah is to love for the sake of Allah and to hate for the sake of Allah."

حدثنا حسين حدثنا يزيد يعني ابن عطاء عن يزيد يعني ابن أبي زياد عن مجاهد عن رجل

عن أبي ذر قال

خرج إلينا رسول الله ﷺ فقال أتدرون أي الأعمال أحب إلى الله عز وجل قال قائل الصلاة والزكاة وقال قائل الجهاد قال إن أحب الأعمال إلى الله عز وجل الحب في الله والبغض في الله
