The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The evil eye can truly afflict a man, by Allah's permission, until he climbs to the top of a high mountain and then falls from it."

قال رسول الله ﷺ إن العين لتولع بالرجل بإذن الله حتى يصعد حالقا ثم يتردى منه
