The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Maez bin Malik when he came to him and confessed to committing adultery, "Perhaps you only kissed her or touched her?"Maez replied, "No."The Prophet asked, "Did you have intercourse with her?"He answered, "Yes."So the Prophet ordered that he be stoned.
حدثنا يزيد أخبرنا جرير بن حازم عن يعلى بن حكيم عن عكرمة
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال لماعز بن مالك حين أتاه فأقر عنده بالزنا لعلك قبلت أو لمست قال لا قال فنكتها قال نعم فأمر به فرجم

Its isnad is sahih. Bukhari related it 12/119-120 through Wahb bin Jareer bin Hazim, from his father, and Abu Dawud also related it, as noted in al-Muntaqa 4031.
