Abdullah bin Harith reported,

Ubayy bin Kaab and I were standing in the shade of Hassan's fortress when Ubayy said to me, "Do you not see how people stretch their necks in pursuit of worldly gain?"I replied, "Indeed."He said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'The Euphrates is about to uncover a mountain of gold. When people hear of it, they will rush toward it. Those already there will say, "By Allah, if we let the people take from it, all of it will be taken away." So people will fight over it until ninety-nine out of every hundred are killed.'"This is the wording of the hadith of Ubayy from Affan. Abdullah narrated to us, Shuja bin Makhlad and Abu Khaythama Zuhayr bin Harb narrated to us, they both said, Abdullah bin Humran al-Humrani narrated to us, Abdul-Hameed bin Jafar narrated to us, my father Jafar bin Abdullah informed me, from Sulayman bin Yasar, from Abdullah bin Harith bin Nawfal, from Ubayy bin Kaab, who said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'The Euphrates is about to uncover a mountain of gold,'" and he mentioned the hadith.

عن عبد الله بن الحارث قال

وقفت أنا وأبي بن كعب في ظل أجم حسان فقال لي أبي ألا ترى الناس مختلفة أعناقهم في طلب الدنيا قلت بلى قال سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول يوشك الفرات أن يحسر عن جبل من ذهب فإذا سمع به الناس ساروا إليه فيقول من عنده والله لئن تركنا الناس يأخذون فيه ليذهبن فيقتتل الناس حتى يقتل من كل مائة تسعة وتسعون وهذا لفظ حديث أبي عن عفان حدثنا عبد الله حدثنا شجاع بن مخلد وأبو خيثمة زهير بن حرب قالا حدثنا عبد الله بن حمران الحمراني حدثنا عبد الحميد بن جعفر أخبرني أبي جعفر بن عبد الله عن سليمان بن يسار عن عبد الله بن الحارث بن نوفل عن أبي بن كعب قال سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول يوشك الفرات أن يحسر عن جبل من ذهب فذكر الحديث
