There was a man, and I do not know of any person in Medina among those who prayed toward the Qibla whose house was farther from the mosque than his. He would attend every single prayer with the Prophet ﷺ.I said to him, "If only you bought a donkey to ride in the burning heat and in the darkness."He replied, "By Allah, I would not wish for my house to be next to the mosque of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."I mentioned this to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he asked the man about it.The man said, "Prophet of Allah, I want my footsteps to be recorded, both my walk to the mosque and my return home to my family."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah has granted you all of that," or he said, "Allah has given you the full reward of what you intended," or as he said.
Its isnad is sahih. Ubaydullah bin Muaz Anbari is one of the trustworthy and reliable memorizers, and the hadith is like the one before it.
