I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivering the sermon standing, then he would sit for a brief pause during which he did not speak, then he would stand and deliver another sermon. So whoever tells you that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivered the sermon sitting, do not believe him.
حدثنا عبد الله حدثنا خلف بن هشام حدثنا أبو عوانة عن سماك
رأيت رسول الله ﷺ يخطب قائما يقعد قعدة لا يتكلم فيها فقام فخطب خطبة أخرى قائما فمن حدثك أن رسول الله ﷺ خطب قاعدا فلا تصدقه
