The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I know a stone in Mecca that used to greet me with peace before I was sent as a prophet. I still recognize it to this day."
حدثنا يحيى بن أبي بكير حدثنا إبراهيم بن طهمان حدثني سماك
قال رسول الله ﷺ إني لأعرف حجرا بمكة كان يسلم علي قبل أن أبعث إني لأعرفه الآن
Its chain of transmission is sahih. It is found in Muslim, 4/1782, no. 2277, in the Book of Virtues, chapter on the virtue of the Prophet's ﷺ lineage, and in Darimi, 1/12, in the Introduction, and Tirmidhi transmitted something similar, 5/593, no. 3634, saying, hasan gharib.
