He was called Nabisha Khayr and was a companion of the Prophet. She said, "Nabeesha came in to us while we were eating from a bowl, and he said to us, 'The Prophet ﷺ told us that whoever eats from a bowl and then licks it clean, the bowl seeks forgiveness for him.'"
حدثنا عفان حدثنا المعلى بن راشد الهذلي قال حدثتني جدتي أم عاصم
يقال له نبيشة الخير وكانت له صحبة قالت دخل علينا نبيشة ونحن نأكل في قصعة فقال لنا حدثنا النبي ﷺ أنه من أكل في قصعة ثم لحسها استغفرت له القصعة
