Amr bin Taghlib reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I give to some people and withhold from others, and those whom I leave out are dearer to me than those to whom I give. I give to certain people because I fear their impatience and discontent, while I leave others to rely on the contentment and goodness that Allah has placed in their hearts. Among them is Amr bin Taghlib."Amr said, "By Allah, I would not trade the words of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for the choicest of red camels."

حدثنا وهب بن جرير حدثنا أبي قال سمعت الحسن قال ثنا

عمرو بن تغلب قال

قال رسول الله ﷺ إني أعطي أقواما وأرد آخرين والذين أدع أحب إلي من الذين أعطي أعطي أقواما لما أخاف من هلعهم قال وأكل أقواما إلى ما جعل الله عز وجل في قلوبهم من الغنى والخير منهم عمرو بن تغلب قال قال عمرو فوالله ما أحب أن لي بكلمة رسول الله ﷺ حمر النعم
