Hasan Basri reported,

Ziyad appointed Hakam Ghifari over an army, so Imran bin Husayn came to him and met him among the people.Imran said, "Do you know why I have come to you?"He replied, "Why?"Imran said, "Do you remember the words of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ regarding the man whose commander ordered him to throw himself into the fire? He went toward it but was held back, and the Prophet ﷺ was informed of this and said, 'Had he fallen into it, they would both have entered the Fire. There is no obedience in disobedience to Allah .'"He said, "Yes."Imran said, "I only wanted to remind you of this hadith."

أن زيادا استعمل الحكم الغفاري على جيش فأتاه عمران بن حصين فلقيه بين الناس فقال أتدري لم جئتك فقال له لم قال هل تذكر قول رسول الله ﷺ للرجل الذي قال له أميره قع في النار فأدرك فاحتبس فأخبر بذلك النبي ﷺ فقال لو وقع فيها لدخلا النار جميعا لا طاعة في معصية الله تبارك وتعالى قال نعم قال إنما أردت أن أذكرك هذا الحديث
