Abu Jurayy reported,

I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, we are a people from the desert, so teach us something by which Allah will benefit us."He said, "Do not belittle any act of kindness, even pouring from your bucket into the container of one seeking water, and even speaking to your brother with a cheerful face. Beware of letting your lower garment hang too low, for it is a form of arrogance, and Allah does not love arrogance. If a man insults you with something he knows about you, do not insult him back with something you know about him, for the reward will be yours and the burden will be on the one who said it."

أبو جرى الهجيمي قال

أتيت رسول الله ﷺ فقلت يا رسول الله إنا قوم من أهل البادية فعلمنا شيئا ينفعنا الله تبارك وتعالى به قال لا تحقرن من المعروف شيئا ولو أن تفرغ من دلوك في إناء المستسقي ولو أن تكلم أخاك ووجهك إليه منبسط وإياك وتسبيل الإزار فإنه من الخيلاء والخيلاء لا يحبها الله عز وجل وإن امرؤ سبك بما يعلم فيك فلا تسبه بما تعلم فيه فإن أجره لك ووباله على من قاله
