Abdul-Rahman bin Samura reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, "Abdul-Rahman, do not seek a position of authority." He then mentioned the rest of the hadith.

حدثنا حسين حدثنا المبارك عن الحسن حدثنا

عبد الرحمن بن سمرة القرشي ونحن بكابل قال

قال لي رسول الله ﷺ يا عبد الرحمن لا تسأل الإمارة فذكر الحديث
