He asked the Prophet ﷺ about alliances, and he replied, "Hold fast to whatever alliances were made during the days of ignorance, but there is no new alliance in Islam."
حدثنا هشيم قال مغيرة أخبر عن أبيه عن شعبة بن التوأم
أنه سأل النبي ﷺ عن الحلف فقال ما كان من حلف في الجاهلية فتمسكوا به ولا حلف في الإسلام
