Utba bin Ghazwan reported,

Abu Nama said from the pulpit, though Qurra did not include this part, "The world has announced its severance and turned away swiftly, and nothing remains of it except a small remnant like the last drops in a vessel. You are in an abode from which you will move on, so move on with the best of what is at hand. I saw myself as one of seven with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and we had no food to eat except the leaves of trees, until our jaws became sore."Abu Abdul-Rahman said, "I heard my father say that no one narrated this hadith except Waki," meaning that it is rare.

حدثني وكيع حدثنا قرة عن حميد بن هلال العدوي عن رجل منهم يقال له خالد بن عمير فقال أبو نعامة سمعته من خالد بن عمير قال خطبنا

عتبة بن غزوان قال

أبو نعامة على المنبر ولم يقله قرة فقال ألا إن الدنيا قد آذنت بصرم وولت حذاء ولم يبق منها إلا صبابة كصبابة الإناء وأنتم في دار منتقلون عنها فانتقلوا بخير ما بحضرتكم فلقد رأيتني سابع سبعة مع رسول الله ﷺ ما لنا طعام نأكله إلا ورق الشجر حتى قرحت أشداقنا قال أبو عبد الرحمن سمعت أبي يقول ما حدث بهذا الحديث غير وكيع يعني أنه غريب
