The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Were it not that dogs are a community among the communities, I would have ordered them killed. So kill the pure black ones. Any people who keep a dog that is not for hunting, farming, or livestock will have a qirat deducted from their reward each day."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ also said, "Pray in the resting places of sheep, but do not pray in the resting places of camels, for they were created from devils."

قال رسول الله ﷺ لولا أن الكلاب أمة من الأمم لأمرت بقتلها فاقتلوا الأسود البهيم وأيما قوم اتخذوا كلبا ليس بكلب صيد أو زرع أو ماشية نقص من أجورهم كل يوم قيراط وقال رسول الله ﷺ صلوا في مرابض الغنم ولا تصلوا في مبارك الإبل فإنها خلقت من الشياطين
