Abu Bakra reported,

On that day the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mounted his she-camel, then halted and asked, "Do you know what day this is?"He then mentioned the same meaning as the hadith of Ibn Abu Adi, and in it he said, "Let those present convey this to those who are absent," saying it twice, "for many a one to whom it is conveyed grasps it better than one who heard it directly."Then he leaned from his she-camel toward some small sheep and began dividing them out, a sheep between every two men and a sheep among every three.

عن أبي بكرة قال

لما كان ذاك اليوم ركب رسول الله ﷺ ناقته ثم وقف فقال تدرون أي يوم هذا فذكر معنى حديث ابن أبي عدي وقال فيه ألا ليبلغ الشاهد الغائب مرتين فرب مبلغ هو أوعى من مبلغ مثله ثم مال على ناقته إلى غنيمات فجعل يقسمهن بين الرجلين الشاة والثلاثة الشاة
