People spoke at length about Musaylimah before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had said anything about him. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up to address them and said, "Now then, regarding this man about whom you have spoken so much, he is one of thirty liars who will appear before the Hour. There is no town that the terror of the Antichrist will not reach, except Madinah. At every one of its mountain passes, two angels stand guard, repelling the terror of the Antichrist from it."

أكثر الناس في مسيلمة قبل أن يقول رسول الله ﷺ فيه شيئا فقام رسول الله ﷺ خطيبا فقال أما بعد ففي شأن هذا الرجل الذي قد أكثرتم فيه وإنه كذاب من ثلاثين كذابا يخرجون بين يدي الساعة وإنه ليس من بلدة إلا يبلغها رعب المسيح إلا المدينة على كل نقب من نقابها ملكان يذبان عنها رعب المسيح
