The Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivered a sermon on the Day of Sacrifice while mounted on his she-camel. He kept turning to address one group here, then another group there, speaking to each gathering.Then he asked, "What day is this?"We remained silent, thinking he might give it a name other than its known one.He said, "Is it not the Day of Sacrifice?"We replied, "Yes, indeed."Then he asked, "What month is this?"We remained silent, thinking he might give it a name other than its known one.He said, "Is it not Dhul-Hijjah?"We replied, "Yes, indeed."Then he asked, "What land is this?"We remained silent, thinking he might give it a name other than its known one.He said, "Is it not the Sacred Land?"We replied, "Yes, indeed."He said, "Your blood, your wealth, and your honor are sacred to one another until you meet your Lord, the Exalted, just as sacred as this day of yours, in this month of yours, in this land of yours."Then he said, "Let those of you who are present convey this to those who are absent, for perhaps the one to whom it is conveyed will retain it better than the one who heard it directly."
حدثنا أسباط بن محمد حدثنا أشعث عن ابن سيرين
خطب رسول الله ﷺ يوم النحر على ناقة له قال فجعل يتكلم هاهنا مرة وهاهنا مرة عند كل قوم ثم قال أي يوم هذا قال فسكتنا حتى ظننا أنه سيسميه غير اسمه قال أليس يوم النحر قال قلنا بلى ثم قال أي شهر هذا قال فسكتنا حتى ظننا أنه سيسميه غير اسمه قال ثم قال أليس ذا الحجة قال قلنا بلى ثم قال أي بلد هذا قال فسكتنا حتى ظننا أنه سيسميه غير اسمه قال ثم قال أليس البلدة الحرام قال قلنا بلى قال فإن دماءكم وأموالكم وأعراضكم حرام عليكم إلى أن تلقوا ربكم تعالى كحرمة يومكم هذا في شهركم هذا في بلدكم هذا ثم قال ليبلغ الشاهد منكم الغائب فلعل الغائب أن يكون أوعى له من الشاهد
