Abu Bakra reported,

I was walking with the Prophet ﷺ when he passed by two graves. He said, "Who will bring me a palm branch?"Another man and I raced off and brought back a palm stalk. He split it in two and placed one piece on this grave and the other piece on that grave. Then he said, "Their punishment will be lightened as long as these branches retain some of their moisture."Then he said, "These two are being punished for backbiting and for failing to guard themselves from urine."

حدثنا وكيع حدثنا الأسود بن شيبان عن بحر بن مرار

عن أبي بكرة قال

كنت أمشي مع النبي ﷺ فمر على قبرين فقال من يأتيني بجريدة نخل قال فاستبقت أنا ورجل آخر فجئنا بعسيب فشقه باثنين فجعل على هذا واحدة وعلى هذا واحدة ثم قال أما إنه سيخفف عنهما ما كان فيهما من بلولتهما شيء ثم قال إنهما ليعذبان في الغيبة والبول
