Raja said, I set out one day with Mihjan until we came to the mosque of Basra, where we found Burayda Aslami sitting at one of the entrances of the mosque. There was a man in the mosque called Sakba who would prolong his prayer at length. When we reached the gate of the mosque where Burayda was sitting, Burayda, who was given to jesting, said,"Mihjan, why don't you pray as Sakba prays?"Mihjan gave him no reply and turned back.Mihjan said to me, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ once took me by the hand and walked with me until he climbed Mount Uhud and looked out over Madina. He said, 'Woe to its mother, a town its people will leave at the height of its prosperity. Dajjal will come to it and find on every one of its gates an angel with a drawn sword, so he will not be able to enter it.'Then he came down, and when we reached the entrance of the mosque, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a man praying in the mosque, prostrating, bowing, prostrating, and bowing. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, 'Who is this?'I began to praise the man to him, saying, 'Messenger of Allah, this is so-and-so, and this and that.'He said, 'Be silent. Do not let him hear you, for you will ruin him.'Then he went on walking until we were near one of the chambers, when he let go of my hand and said, 'The best of your religion is what is easiest of it. The best of your religion is what is easiest of it. The best of your religion is what is easiest of it.'"
حدثنا عفان حدثنا أبو عوانة حدثنا أبو بشر عن عبد الله بن شقيق عن رجاء بن أبي رجاء الباهلي عن محجن قال عفان وهو ابن الأدرع قال وحدثنا حماد عن الجريري عن عبد الله بن شقيق
قال رجاء أقبلت مع محجن ذات يوم حتى إذا انتهينا إلى مسجد البصرة فوجدنا بريدة الأسلمي على باب من أبواب المسجد جالسا قال وكان في المسجد رجل يقال له سكبة يطيل الصلاة فلما انتهينا إلى باب المسجد وعليه بريدة قال وكان بريدة صاحب مزاحات قال يا محجن ألا تصلي كما يصلي سكبة قال فلم يرد عليه محجن شيئا ورجع قال وقال لي محجن إن رسول الله ﷺ أخذ بيدي فانطلق يمشي حتى صعد أحدا فأشرف على المدينة فقال ويل أمها من قرية يتركها أهلها كأعمر ما تكون يأتيها الدجال فيجد على كل باب من أبوابها ملكا مصلتا فلا يدخلها قال ثم انحدر حتى إذا كنا بسدة المسجد رأى رسول الله ﷺ رجلا يصلي في المسجد ويسجد ويركع ويسجد ويركع قال فقال لي رسول الله ﷺ من هذا قال فأخذت أطريه له قال قلت يا رسول الله هذا فلان وهذا وهذا قال اسكت لا تسمعه فتهلكه قال ثم انطلق يمشي حتى إذا كنا عند حجرة لكنه رفض يدي ثم قال إن خير دينكم أيسره إن خير دينكم أيسره إن خير دينكم أيسره
