The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There will come after me from my nation a people who recite the Quran, but it will not pass beyond their throats. They will pass out of the religion as an arrow passes through its target, and they will not return to it. They are the worst of creation and creatures."Ibn Samit said, "I met Rafi." Bahz said, "the brother of Hakam bin Amr." "And I related this hadith to him."He said, "I too heard it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."
حدثنا بهز وأبو النضر وعفان قالوا حدثنا سليمان بن المغيرة عن حميد عن عبد الله بن الصامت
قال رسول الله ﷺ إن من بعدي من أمتي قوما يقرءون القرآن لا يجاوز حلاقيمهم يخرجون من الدين كما يخرج السهم من الرمية ثم لا يعودون فيه شر الخلق والخليقة قال ابن الصامت فلقيت رافعا قال بهز أخا الحكم بن عمرو فحدثته هذا الحديث قال وأنا أيضا قد سمعت من رسول الله ﷺ
