I asked Ibn Abbas about nabidh made in earthenware jars. He said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade nabidh made in earthenware jars and gourds." He added, "Whoever is pleased to forbid what Allah and His Messenger have forbidden, let him forbid nabidh."
حدثنا يحيى عن شعبة حدثني سلمة بن كهيل قال سمعت
سألت ابن عباس عن نبيذ الجر فقال نهى رسول الله ﷺ عن نبيذ الجر والدباء وقال من سره أن يحرم ما حرم الله ورسوله فليحرم النبيذ
