A bedouin came to the Prophet of Allah ﷺ while he was delivering a sermon and interrupted him, saying, "Messenger of Allah, what do you say about the lizard?"He replied, "It is from a nation of the Children of Israil that was transformed, and I do not know which of the creatures was transformed into it."
حدثنا هشام بن عبد الملك أخبرنا أبو عوانة وعفان حدثنا أبو عوانة حدثنا عبد الملك بن عمير عن حصين رجل من بني فزارة
أتى نبي الله ﷺ أعرابي وهو يخطب فقطع عليه خطبته فقال يا رسول الله كيف تقول في الضب قال أمة مسخت من بني إسرائيل فلا أدري أي الدواب مسخت
