While we were with the Prophet ﷺ, a large bowl of tharid was brought. He ate from it, and the people ate as well. The bowl kept being passed around until close to noon, with each group eating from it, then standing up to make way for another group who would take their turn.A man asked him, "Was the food being replenished?"He replied, "Not from the earth, but it must have been replenished from the sky."

بينا نحن عند النبي ﷺ إذ أتي بقصعة فيها ثريد قال فأكل وأكل القوم فلم يزل يتداولونها إلى قريب من الظهر يأكل كل قوم ثم يقومون ويجيء قوم فيتعاقبوه قال فقال له رجل هل كانت تمد بطعام قال أما من الأرض فلا إلا أن تكون كانت تمد من السماء

Its isnad is sahih. Tirmidhi narrated it, 5/593, no. 3625, in the Chapter on Merits, and said, hasan sahih, and Darimi, 1/43, no. 56, in the Introduction.
