It is mentioned that the one who narrates that the Prophet ﷺ permitted nabidh after having forbidden it is Mundhir Abu Hassan, who reported it from Samura bin Jundab. He used to say, "Whoever opposes Hajjaj has opposed [the truth]."

Its isnad is daif, due to the obscurity of Mundhir Abu Hassan. As for Thabit Abu Zayd, he is Ibn Yazid al-Ahwal, who is thiqah, and his hadith is established according to the group.However, the hadith is sahih, and the jurists act upon it. The permission regarding nabidh has already been mentioned in "Steep whatever seems fit to you" [15891], and in the statement of Abdullah bin Mughafal, "I myself witnessed it when it was permitted" [16748].
