His brother had died leaving three hundred dirhams and dependents behind, so he intended to spend the money on the dependents.The Prophet ﷺ said, "Your brother is held back by his debt, so settle it on his behalf."He said, "Messenger of Allah, I have paid it all off except for two Dinars that a woman claims, though she has no proof."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Give them to her, for she is telling the truth."
حدثنا عفان حدثنا حماد بن سلمة أخبرنا عبد الملك أبو جعفر عن أبي نضرة
أن أخاه مات وترك ثلاث مائة درهم وترك عيالا فأردت أن أنفقها على عياله فقال النبي ﷺ إن أخاك محبوس بدينه فاقض عنه فقال يا رسول الله فقد أديت عنه إلا دينارين ادعتهما امرأة وليس لها بينة قال فأعطها فإنها محقة
