Muawiya bin Hayda reported,

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Woe to the one who tells a story and lies in order to make people laugh. Woe to him, woe to him."

حدثنا يزيد أخبرنا

بهز عن أبيه عن جده قال

سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول ويل للذي يحدث فيكذب ليضحك به القوم ويل له ويل له
